NMRP is for everyone, dogs too! The City is exploring options for a temporary off-leash dog area where dogs can play, socialize and enjoy the outdoors. The City is assessing a safe, fenced-in location where dogs can run free, make new furry friends and enjoy the outdoors. While a permanent off leash dog area is part of the park’s long-term vision, this temporary space allows us to explore interest and understand community needs. Your feedback will help guide the location and design of this new space. Click here for other off-leash dog area locations and more information.

Construction for site servicing and preparations is now complete. This work included the preparation of 52 hectares (130 acres) of the park for future development of new recreational facilities and amenities. Here are some highlights:
- Site grading, stormwater management and installation of underground services, such as water, sanitary, electrical, gas, and telecom.
- The completion of the City’s first cricket field and event lawn, additional park pathways, accessible multi-use trails, reconstruction of the new park driveway (Vaughan CARES Way) to include second access point on Keele Street and adding a new traffic signal at the park’s north entrance.
- Restoration of approximately 10 acres of provincially significant areas, including pond and wetland expansions and the creation of a wildlife corridor. All work was completed in coordination with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).

Earlier this year, the City held a special event to mark the opening of Vaughan's first-ever indoor soccer dome - the Treasure Hill Soccer Centre. This project is a partnership between the City and the Vaughan Soccer Club to design, build, operate, and maintain the soccer dome. The soccer dome features an 11 versus 11 artificial turf field and offers year-round indoor programming. To support more park users, the existing parking lot was expanded to include 200 new spaces and improved accessibility for visitors to enjoy and explore the fresh new turf!

A series of artistic and interpretive signage and installations have been installed at the park. These signs will provide visitors with more information about the park’s design, construction, development plans and vision. Also featured are a series of art installations to express a warm welcome to all park visitors. A comprehensive signage and wayfinding program is being developed to improve navigation, create a stronger sense of place, and enhance visitor experience. New signage will include new park maps and integration of park information online. The first installations are scheduled for early 2026.
