Every November, the City hosts a remembrance ceremony and service to commemorate the brave Canadians who risked – and in many cases lost – their lives during war.
You’re invited to join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council for the City of Vaughan’s Remembrance Month ceremony on Monday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. As a reflection of the City's commitment to honour the remarkable service and sacrifice of Vaughan residents, Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council have permanently proclaimed the month of November "Remembrance Month."

Every year, at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month, we honour the brave Canadians who served and continue to serve our country. Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council invite the community to the City’s 2025 Remembrance Day service.
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 11
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Woodbridge Cenotaph (80 Wallace St.)Following the service, members of the public are invited to gather at the Woodbridge Memorial Pool and Arena (5020 Highway 7) for refreshments.
Important notice: From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wallace Street will be closed for the service. Parking will be available at Woodbridge Memorial Pool and Arena.

Vaughan’s annual Remembrance Month events reflect the City’s commitment to fostering active, safe and diverse communities that are inclusive, enhance well-being and honour those who have gone above and beyond. This year’s exhibit pays tribute to the wartime experiences of individuals from Vaughan and York County who served abroad and at home during the Second World War. The exhibit will offer a multifaceted connection to residents by showcasing war artifacts and photographs.
