Investing in Vaughan's urban forest
In 2025, the City received nearly $2 million in funding from the Government of Canada’s 2 Billion Trees Program, delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Growing Canada’s Community Canopies initiative through the Green Municipal Fund.
Tree City of the World
Vaughan’s ongoing commitment to our trees and forests is not going unnoticed! For the fourth consecutive year, the City has been recognized as a Tree City of the World by the Arbor Day Foundation, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
