Update on Vaughan’s unprecedented winter operations

During today's Committee of the Whole (1) meeting, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua, Ward 4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco and Members of Council presented Vaughan resident Svetlana Katcharovski with the 2021 Ward 4 Civic Hero Award.
Vaughan
Public Libraries (VPL) has reopened its three Resource Libraries – Bathurst Clark, Civic Centre and Pierre
Berton – following yesterday’s closure due to the major winter storm. The
Community Libraries remain closed and curbside pickup is unavailable until
further notice.
Everyone plays an important part in Vaughan’s winter operations
efforts – and that includes clearing snow and ice from catch basins, sidewalks and
fire hydrants near your property.
The City of Vaughan’s winter
operations continue! Due to heavy snowfall,
it may take longer than usual to clear streets, windrows, sidewalks, paths and
