A community centre is the heart of your neighbourhood. It is a place to gather with friends, try new activities, play sports and have fun. But have you ever wondered what else there is to do there? 

Are you heading up north for the Labour Day long weekend? Whether it’s your last trip to your cottage before closing up for the season or you plan to spend time up there through to the fall, Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service is providing the following tips to help make sure your cottage remains fire safe any time of year.

There is one week left to nominate someone for the 2023 Order of Vaughan! This is the highest honour the City of Vaughan may bestow on an individual who exemplifies extraordinary citizenship. Submit your nominations by Friday, Sept. 1!
