Vaughan’s first ever Festa d’Italia!

New this year, the City of Vaughan is excited to hold its first ever Festa d’Italia – a vibrant celebration of Italian culture and heritage! 

 

Mark your calendars! It’s on Sunday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Boyd Conservation Park (8739 Islington Ave.). This FREE fun-filled day will include music, entertainment, art, food and so much more. Tony Monaco from Z103.5 Radio and Giuseppe the MC will emcee the event. Highlights will include an official welcome from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council and headline performances by I Cugini di Campagna at 12:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. 

 

Additional entertainment and festivities include:

  • a performance by Joee De Simone
  • arts and crafts, and interactive family activities
  • a tribute to Andrea Bocelli
  • a business zone
  • food vendors
  • music by DJ Danny D, Mario Polsinelli and Bruno Monardo
  • traditional Italian dances
  • various local Italian artists and more! 

 

Onsite parking is limited. Additional parking, including offsite parking, park-and-walk options, and free shuttle bus services are available. 

 

Shuttle service will begin at 10 a.m. at the following locations: Al Palladini Community Centre (9201 Islington Ave.), Chancellor Community Centre (350 Ansley Grove Rd.), Woodbridge Pool and Memorial Arena (5020 Hwy 7), Woodbridge Public School (60 Burwick Ave.), Market Lane (140 Woodbridge Ave.), Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) and the VMC Library (200 Apple Mill Rd.). The last pickup will be at Boyd Conservation Park at 8:30 p.m. For more details on shuttle bus services and parking, please visit vaughan.ca/festa.
