You’re invited to join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council for the City of Vaughan’s inaugural Nowruz celebration on Monday, March 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

Nowruz, also known as the Persian New Year, marks the arrival of spring and unites communities around the world. It provides an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions of Iranian, Afghan, Kurdish, Zoroastrian, Bahá’í, Central Asian, Ismaili, Azerbaijani, Tajik, and many other Persian communities, and acknowledge their strong cultural influence in Vaughan and beyond.

The City’s first-ever Nowruz event will feature greetings from Mayor Del Duca, traditional musical and dance performances, and complimentary refreshments.
