Improvements at Southview Park are now complete – and you’re invited to join the celebrations!
Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. to mark the reopening of Southview Park. The event will include remarks from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council, a ribbon-cutting, free ice cream and an interactive DJ.
This Ward 4 park, located at 1 Southview Dr., is ready to be enjoyed again after recent renovations.
The new and improved Southview Park includes:
a new play area with engineered wood fibre safety surfacing and an accessible ramp.
a new shade structure with seating.
improved tennis courts with new pickleball lines, LED court lighting and seating with a game table and benches.
pathway improvements.
replacing the ball hockey court with an open lawn area.
replacing the bocce courts with a new full-size basketball court.
and more!
The upgrades were designed to make the park more accessible, inclusive and welcoming for all, with new features that encourage active play, recreation and community connection.
