It’s official – the enhanced Southview Park is welcoming the community back with improvements everyone will enjoy!

 

Celebrations were held on Sept. 17 at the park, located at 1 Southview Dr., with Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council in attendance. The event included a ribbon-cutting, remarks from Mayor Del Duca, an interactive DJ and free ice cream.

 

The new and improved Southview Park includes:

  • a new play area with engineered wood fibre safety surfacing, accessible ramp and new swings with an accessible seat.

  • a new shade structure with seating. 

  • improved tennis courts with new pickleball lines, LED court lighting and seating with game tables and benches.

  • pathway improvements.

  • replacing the ball hockey court with an open lawn area. 

  • replacing the bocce courts with a new full-size basketball court.

  • and more!

 

The upgrades were designed to make the park more accessible, inclusive and welcoming for all, with new features that encourage active play, recreation and community connection.
