SAVE THE DATE: The City of Vaughan’s Lunar New Year celebration is back!

Join us at Vaughan City Hall on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

Mark your calendars! The City of Vaughan is excited to once again host its annual Lunar New Year event – and you’re invited. Join us on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

This year’s Lunar New Year celebration, marking the Year of the Horse, will feature remarks from the Mayor and Members of Council, exciting entertainment, vibrant dance performances, a traditional lion dance, red pocket giveaways, complimentary refreshments and much more.

The event is FREE and pre-registration is encouraged. Confirm your attendance online.

Also known as the Spring Festival, Lunar New Year is one of the biggest celebrations of the year for those of Asian heritage. It is a time to usher out the old year and welcome a new one filled with luck and prosperity.

In 2026, we celebrate the Year of the Horse, which symbolizes energy, confidence and vitality.
