Do you have thoughts on the City of Vaughan’s Double-Up Days program? What about the medical waste exemption program or blue box recycling collection? Tell us by taking an online survey before the end of the day on Tuesday, Dec. 12 to have your say on the future of waste collection in Vaughan!

The City’s current waste collection contract is ending soon, so we’re preparing to put together the next 10-year contract, which will take effect in 2028. The waste collection contract helps determine the scope of waste services, collection schedules, what can and can’t be collected, equipment and personnel needed, and much more.

We want to hear from you to help shape it!

In addition to taking the online survey, you can also have your say by joining a live discussion. Be part of dynamic discussions focused on several important topics, including:

Earlier this year, Forum Research conducted 500 random telephone surveys among Vaughan residents on behalf of the City. If you were randomly selected to participate and completed the questionnaire, thank you! Public input is a key driver for municipal decision-making.

Read the participation guide (PDF) for more details on the waste collection contract's significance, information about key topics and issues that are open for discussion, an outline of the consultation timelines and more. You can also visit the waste collection contract webpage to learn more about how to have your say.
