To help set small businesses and entrepreneurs up for success, the City of Vaughan is continuing its virtual Business Planning Launchpad Series in October.

Delivered by the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre, the Business Planning Launchpad Series is a free virtual program designed to support startups and established small businesses with training sessions. In addition, all participants can book 30-minute one-on-one meetings with the City’s entrepreneur advisor to receive feedback on their business and financial plans.

Each session covers one of four training topics:

  • Ideation – Learn how to validate a business idea, vision, mission and market research to test business assumptions
  • Marketing – Learn about target markets, unique selling points, and marketing basics and must-dos to build a solid marketing plan to generate leads
  • Operations and Sales – Learn about customizing effective sales approaches and processes and operational and risk management
  • Financial – Learn about key financial terms, how to complete the Starter Company Plus program financial templates and finalize a business plan

Participants will have the opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 in provincial grant funding and will be guided to complete different elements of their business plan in reference to the Starter Company Plus program.
