The City of Vaughan’s List of Acclaimed and Certified Candidates for the 2026 Municipal Election
Nominations for the City of Vaughan’s 2026 Municipal Election closed on Aug. 21, and the official list of acclaimed and certified candidates is now available.
A candidate is acclaimed when the number of nominations received is equal to or fewer than the number of positions to be filled. The following candidates have been acclaimed:

Register to vote online
The online Advance Vote period runs from Friday, Oct. 9 to Sunday, Oct. 18. Online voting is the only option during the Advance Vote period and requires registration in advance. Eligible Vaughan voters can register until Thursday, Oct. 15 to cast their ballot online.
To register, you will need to provide acceptable identification and a unique email address. Once registered, you will receive your online voting credentials by email. Register now at vaughan.ca/elections.
Voters must already be on the Voters’ List to be able to register to vote online. To check your status or get on the Voters’ List, visit voterregistration.vaughan.ca.
Voters who prefer to vote in person on Voting Day, Monday, Oct. 26, will receive a separate voter notice with details about their assigned polling location.
