The City’s much-anticipated Lunar New Year event is on Feb. 4

The City of Vaughan’s annual Lunar New Year celebration is not to be missed! So, mark your calendars and join us on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall for this year’s event, which will include fun family-friendly entertainment, musical performances and a traditional lion dance.

Of all the cultural festivals that are observed around the world, Lunar New Year is one of the most elaborate, colourful and important to the Asian community. It is about ushering in luck and prosperity and provides an opportunity to celebrate the previous year and welcome the new one.

In 2024, we recognize the Year of the Dragon, which symbolizes honour, luck and success.
