All You Need to Know About Vaughan’s Tree Cleanup Efforts
City crews continue to respond to storm damage
Following Wednesday’s severe thunderstorm, the City of Vaughan’s crews have been working around the clock to clear fallen trees and branches across the community.
Here’s what you need to know:
To report a tree on City property, including roadways, sidewalks and parks, contact Service Vaughan at 905-832-2281 or service@vaughan.ca.
For trees on private property, contact a qualified arborist for assessment and cleanup. Before hiring a contractor, ensure they have proper insurance and WSIB coverage. If you’re unsure if a contractor is licensed, use the City’s Business and Special Event License and Permit Search tool.
The City has received more than 250 tree-related service requests in the past couple of days, and additional crews and contractors have been brought on to help.
Due to the severity of storm damage, cleanup efforts will continue over the coming days. Your patience and co-operation are appreciated as crews work safely and efficiently to respond to all reported concerns in priority sequence.
