NMRP Master Plan

Advancing the 900-acre vision

The park vision will take many years to implement, and will be designed and constructed in several stages over the coming years. A long-term development, programming, and management plan will be created through a master plan process. The plan will focus on three key pillars – RESTORE, ENGAGE, PLAY – and will foster opportunities to restore the natural environment, engage the community, and provide a place for active living.

What's your vision for North Maple Regional Park?

Help us plan the future NMRP! While some areas and amenities are now open to the public, the City is looking to develop the full 900-acre site – and you can have a say! The City is conducting its last round of public engagement for the master plan to ensure that what’s being proposed for the park aligns with what residents would like to see.

Take an online survey and attend a pop-up. Until Sunday, Dec. 14, residents can take an online survey to provide any final feedback on plans for NMRP. Residents are also invited to stop by our last in-person pop-up on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kortright Centre for Conservation

Community insights will help shape the future of NMRP and ensure that it reflects the needs and priorities of the Vaughan community. The project team continues to engage with internal and external stakeholders, a diverse audience of community members, Indigenous communities and the general public through pop-ups, events, focus groups, workshops and more.

The community looks forward to NMRP as a destination park - there is strong support for a multi-functional park balancing ecological preservation with diverse recreational and wellness opportunities.
