Old Maple Area Infrastructure Improvements

The City of Vaughan is undertaking important municipal infrastructure improvements in the Old Maple area, including watermain replacement, drainage improvements, storm sewer enhancements and road reconstruction work. These enhancements support the City’s continued commitment to ensuring long-term sustainability of municipal infrastructure.

By investing in infrastructure renewal projects like this one, the City demonstrates its continued commitment to maintaining its existing infrastructure, enhancing Vaughan’s future and embracing sustainable growth.

Property owners are reminded that underground systems, such as lawn sprinklers, heated driveways, electrical conduits, or landscaping, etc., within City-owned boulevards or property limits may be impacted by the proposed construction work. Removing privately owned underground systems in advance of construction, at the owner’s expense, is recommended.

The City is not responsible for any damages that may occur during construction to privately owned items within City property limits found in Encroachment By-law 034-2017 (PDF).

There have been opportunities to get involved and learn about the improvements coming to the Old Maple area. In December 2021, the City hosted another virtual Public Information Session where project information – including revised maps, plans, drawings and schedules – was presented and attendees had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the project team about traffic impacts, access to properties and more.
