The Enterprise Information Management Services (EIMS) division of the Office of the City Clerk, oversees the management of corporate information assets for the City of Vaughan. This division is responsible for maintaining the technologies, processes, practices and principles used to manage the Corporation's records and information. Enterprise Information Management is the way in which the City plans, identifies, captures, manages, preserves and disposes of its information holdings across all formats (physical and digital), and includes the management of all business activities associated with information, such as Information Architecture (IA), security, metadata, automation and quality management. The primary purpose of EIMS is to ensure that the right information is available to the right person, in the correct format when required, while ensuring that statutory and business requirements are being met.
