Responsibilities:
- Arrive at the rink and sets up all equipment for his/her shift and makes sure all games start on time and you are present for the start of each game.
- Be familiar with the equipment used in the position.
- Ensure accuracy and neatness when entering data on the game sheet as it is a legal document.
- Follow referees instructions pertaining to all game situations and communicate with the League Convenor at all times. The Timekeeper is an off-ice official and their opinion may be counted on.
- Be familiar with the rules of the game and familiarize yourself with the SVHL rulebook.
Qualifications and requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be obtained upon offer of employment – results must be presented prior to employment start date.
- Prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekend shifts; attend all training sessions.
