The event will feature incredible stage entertainment, activities for all ages, a food zone, a marketplace with vendor booths and so much more.

JUNO Award winner Preston Pablo is one of Canada’s fastest-rising R&B/pop artists, with over 3.6 million monthly Spotify listeners and viral hits like “Dance Alone” and multiplatinum "Flowers Need Rain". He’s featured on Karan Aujla’s record-breaking Punjabi album and has collaborated with global artists from Colombia to Nigeria. After touring the U.S. with Jon Vinyl, Preston is set to release his new single “One Last Song” this fall.

 

 

Emcee: Maria Papadakis, a dynamic media personality and producer based in Toronto. She currently serves as a talent and producer for the Roz and Mocha Show on KiSS 92.5 FM. In addition to her radio work, Maria is the Digital Host and In-Stadium Host for Toronto FC, engaging fans both online and at live events.

There’s no onsite parking available. There’s park-and-walk available near the event, with limited parking spots at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School.

 

Shuttle Bus Service: Free shuttle bus services will be available from the following locations:

 

Pick up:

Maple Community Center - 10190 Keele St (free parking)

Vaughan City Hall - 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr W (free parking)

Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) Library - 200 Apple Mill Rd (paid parking)

 

Drop off: North Maple Regional Park – 11085 Keele St.

 

Service begins at 9:00am and the last pickup at the park is 4:30pm.

These events wouldn’t be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers like you. If you're interested in being part of the excitement, we invite you to apply by completing the Volunteer Application Form.

 

Volunteer Notes:

  • Volunteer positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis—so don’t wait!
  • High school students: Volunteer hours will count toward your community service requirement.

 

Volunteer Duties Include:

  • Assisting with event set-up
  • Greeting and guiding guests
  • Monitoring activity stations
  • Supporting crowd control
  • And more!

Calling all businesses, not-for profits and food vendors! Apply today for the opportunity to participate in Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day 2025. Anticipated attendance at this free family-friendly event is 8,000-10,000.

 

Apply using the Canada Day 2025 Participant Agreement Form

 

Participants - what is needed before the deadline of Wednesday, June 11, 2025?

  1. Participant Agreement Form: Canada Day
  2. Payment
    1. $550 + HST for food vendors and businesses (Ice cream vendor spots are sold out for 2025)
    2. $250 + HST for not-for-profit organizations
    3. Pay online with credit card OR by cheque (see details on the agreement form)
  3. A Certificate of Insurance naming the Corporation of the City of Vaughan as an additional insured – use the City’s template 
    1. If you are unable to get a Certificate of Insurance, email vaughancelebrates@vaughan.ca to find out how to purchase one-day event insurance.

       

       Food vendors also need to provide:

  4. The York Region Vendor Application Form will be sent directly to York Region Health Department and provided to Events Staff.
    1. Form is found under “Vendors”:  Food Vendors - York Region Application
  5. Any applicable licences (restaurant licence, refreshment vehicle licence, etc.)
    1. Refreshment vehicles must provide a valid City of Vaughan Refreshment Vehicle Licence
    2. Refreshment vehicles that do not have a valid City of Vaughan Refreshment Vehicle Licence must apply for one through the City of Vaughan (additional fees apply)
    3. Non-refreshment vehicles must provide a restaurant or business license along with a food handler certificate.

 

What to expect as a participant (booths, food vendors)?

  • 10'x10' spot unless you have a food truck or purchase additional spaces
  • 1 table and 2 chairs will be provided and more can be rented for a small fee
  • Situated on grass
  • Many booth participants and food vendors bring a 10'x10' tent with tent weights (staking is not permitted); no tent, pavilion, etc. is provided
  • Electrical access and Wi-Fi are not available
  • Generators are not provided
