The City of Vaughan provides waste collection services to eligible residential properties. These services include the collection of blue box recycling, green bin organics, residual waste (garbage), leaf and yard waste, Christmas trees, and appliance / metal recovery items. Residents are reminded to adhere to all set out requirements and to participate fully in the City's and Region's waste diversion programs. Note: Pursuant to the City's Waste Collection Bylaw 217-2010, not all properties are eligible for municipal waste collection services. Should you receive non municipal waste collection services, please contact your (private) waste service provider for program information.
UPDATE: DECEMBER'S 2013 ICE STORM - LARGE DEBRIS (BRANCH) SPRING CLEAN-UP
The catastrophic ice storm that occurred in December 2013 caused a significant amount of damage to trees within the City of Vaughan. The City's Parks and Forestry Department commenced clean-up operations immediately after the ice storm, with the final clean-up scheduled in the Spring.
