The City of Vaughan's 24th annual WinterFest was held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the North Thornhill Community Centre, 300 Pleasant Ridge Avenue, in Thornhill.

this fun-filled family event held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. featured FREE stage entertainment on the outdoor Amphitheatre stage,

Midway Zone, a new Video Gaming Zone, IceZone Carving Demos, face painting, art, and pizza making workshops along with opera performances and workshops by Opera Bel Canto of York, displays and much more!
Entertainment highlights included Circus, Circus with Alex the lion from Madagascar 3, and performances by Jesse Giddings, Canadian Musician, host of "the X-Factor Pre-Show" and former Much Music VJ, Bounce Entertainment, Kobbler Jay: The Eccentric Juggler, and Doo Doo the International Clown
An Official Welcome by Mayor and Members of Council will took place at 11:00 a.m.
Exciting Meet and Greet opportunities took place at the Outdoor Gazebo with Alex the lion, Caillou, Strawberry Shortcake and Om Nom.
Star of the hit TV Show Degrassi, Luke Bilyk was on hand for a free autograph session at 2:00 p.m.
