City Budgets
Each year, the City of Vaughan creates a budget to determine how funds will be allocated.

According to Bill 3, Strong Mayors, Building Homes Act, 2022, the Mayor proposes a budget by Feb. 1 and City Council considers that budget within 30 days. Public meetings are held to discuss the Property Tax Budget and the Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Budgets at the same time.

Public meetings to discuss the proposed 2026 Budget will be held on:
- Special Committee of the Whole (Budget) on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026 at 7 p.m.
- Special Council (Budget) on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at 7 p.m.
