Tap into Vaughan's Water on Tuesday, March 22

The City of Vaughan is encouraging residents to drink local tap water in support of World Water Day to be held on Tuesday, March 22.

World Water Day is held annually on March 22 to focus international attention on the sustainable management of freshwater resources. It was first designated in 1993 by the United Nations General Assembly. This year’s theme, Water for cities: responding to the urban challenge, spotlights the impact of rapid growth on urban water systems.

The City of Vaughan’s drinking water is tested more than 1,800 times per year. It received two perfect scores from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment following a recent inspection.
