The City of Vaughan is updating the 2016 Municipal Energy Plan through the Municipal Energy Plan Revision. A Municipal Energy Plan is a strategic planning document and action framework that outlines how a community can increase energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit economic risks associated with transitioning to a low-carbon community. Engagement on the Municipal Energy Plan Update
From May to July 2022, we asked citizens and stakeholders what actions the City and its community members should take to increase energy efficiency, reduce emissions and mitigate climate change. Valuable ideas and feedback were provided though an online survey and two interactive community workshops.
The insights and feedback collected will help the City understand the community’s priorities and needs in developing climate actions that can be implemented successfully.
