Old Maple Area - Infrastructure Improvements
Old Maple Area: Infrastructure Improvements
Page Content
The City of Vaughan is undertaking important municipal infrastructure improvements in the Old Maple area, including watermain replacement, drainage improvements, storm sewer enhancements and road reconstruction work.
By investing in infrastructure renewal projects like this one, the City demonstrates its continued commitment to maintaining its existing infrastructure, enhancing Vaughan’s future and embracing sustainable growth.
Join the Conversation
There have been
opportunities to get involved and learn about the improvements coming to the Old Maple area. In December 2021, the City hosted another virtual Public Information Session where project information – including revised maps, plans, drawings and schedules – was presented and attendees
had the
opportunity
to ask questions directly to the project team about traffic impacts, access to properties and more.

Pre-construction Condition Surveys/Inspections:
North Rock Group Ltd., the City-retained contractor for the Old Maple Infrastructure Improvements project, has hired OZA Inspections Ltd. to conduct pre-construction condition surveys for property owners in the Old Maple area.
The survey involves an interior and exterior inspection and documentation on the condition of existing private buildings and structures fronting the streets within the project work area. Photographs will be taken as part of the survey. The inspection/survey being completed by our contractor is voluntary and of no cost to the property owner.
Letters were distributed to impacted property owners directly by OZA Inspections Ltd. in June with details about the proposed condition surveys/inspections, request for permission and related contact information.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the project lead.
Property owners are reminded that underground systems, such as lawn sprinklers, heated driveways, electric
al conduits, or landscaping, etc., within City-owned boulevards or property limits may be impacted by the proposed construction work. Removing privately owned underground systems in advance of construction, at the owner’s expense, is recommended.
The City is not responsible for any damages that may occur during construction to privately owned items within City property limits found in
Encroachment By-law 034-2017
