One person’s unwanted but reusable items are someone else’s treasure! During Curbside Giveaway Days, place used items that are in good condition on your property (next to the sidewalk or curb) for others to take. This initiative gives useful items a new life while keeping them out of landfill. It also encourages recycling, builds a stronger community and contributes to a more sustainable city.

Participate in the 2022 Curbside Giveaway Days on the following weekends:

  • Saturday, May 28 to Sunday, May 29
  • Saturday, June 25 to Sunday, June 26
  • Saturday, July 23 to Sunday, July 24
  • Saturday, Aug. 27 to Sunday, Aug. 28
  • Saturday, Sept. 24 to Sunday, Sept. 25
  • Saturday, Oct. 22 to Sunday, Oct. 23
Mark items with a "FREE - Curbside Giveaway" sign (PDF) and set them out between 7 a.m. Saturday morning and 5 p.m. Sunday night. Remember, material not removed by 5 p.m. on Sunday could result in a by-law violation; participants must remember to retrieve their items by that time.

Curbside giveaway etiquette and safety tips:

  • Download and print a "FREE - Curbside Giveaway" Sign (PDF) for your items.
