Dog and Cat Adoptions
Adopting an animal can be a rewarding experience.
All family members should come into the shelter before adopting an animal. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older and will need to fill out an application before final approval.
The City of Vaughan is dedicated to finding safe and happy forever homes for all animals in the shelter.
Adoption fees
Fee includes rabies and first annual vaccine, sterilization, microchip implant, and the pet’s first annual licence (for Vaughan residents only).

Adoption hours
- Monday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday and statutory holidays: Closed
