Safe return to recreation. COVID-19 updates.
UPDATE MARCH 21: Masks no longer required at Vaughan facilities. Following the Province’s announcement that Ontario will be cautiously and gradually removing additional COVID-19 public health measures, the City of Vaughan no longer requires masks to be worn by patrons at City facilities, including community centres.

Most City of Vaughan staff will no longer be required to wear a mask in the workplace. As a result, swim lessons will return to their pre-pandemic formats – swim instructors will teach in the water and parents/guardians will no longer need to participate in the water for early development swim levels, including Preschool 1-5 and Swimmer 1-3, for both group and private/semi-private lessons.

Pre-registration is not required when visiting City fitness centres, but a membership key tag is required to gain access to the fitness centre. Membership key tags also allow access to the pool, gym, games room, arena and bocce court for individuals with an annual recreation membership or multi-visit pass. To obtain a fitness or recreation membership key tag, visit customer service. Pre-registration and pre-payment are available for convenience for recreational drop-in activities, including swimming, aquafitness, skating, sports and fitness classes, and can be done at vaughan.perfectmind.com.

For further inquiries, email RecCSD@vaughan.ca or call Service Vaughan at 905-832-2281. For more information, visit the City’s COVID-19 webpage at vaughan.ca/COVID19.
