The Heritage Vaughan Committee is an Advisory Committee of Council for the City of Vaughan to make recommendations to the Council on the identification, conservation and preservation of Vaughan’s cultural heritage properties.
The Committee coordinates and conveys community concerns regarding heritage conservation activities.
Heritage Vaughan reviews requests to change buildings and properties located in Vaughan’s heritage conservation districts or individually designated buildings. This process is completed with staff assistance and called a Heritage Review.
Additionally, the Committee reviews the demolition request of heritage buildings which are listed in the City’s inventory of heritage identified on Vaughan's Listing of Property of Architectural and Historical Significance.
Heritage Vaughan is appointed by Council every four years. The committee meets on the following dates in 2020:
