Five-year Traffic Management Strategy
Page Content
The City of Vaughan is one of Ontario’s fastest-growing municipalities, with a population of more than 335,000 people, which is forecasted to reach 420,000 by 2031. In response to the increase in travel demand, the road network throughout the city of Vaughan continues to grow. There are many operational challenges that routinely contribute to growing congestion and traffic demand within the city. Road safety and effective traffic management will continue to be a priority and required to meet the demand of commutes within Vaughan.

A component of the traffic management strategy is to seek feedback from stakeholders and community members. Citizens will be invited to a variety of open house events to share their thoughts and ideas on the future of traffic, safety and travel within Vaughan.
