As the Province of Ontario’s modified Stage 2 restrictions for Vaughan and York Region take effect today, the City of Vaughan is urging residents to do their part to support the local economy by safely shopping at small businesses and local restaurants in the city.

It's Waste Reduction Week
Reduce, reuse, relearn! Waste Reduction Week kicks off today and runs until Sunday, Oct. 25. Throughout the week, the City of Vaughan will provide tips on how residents can reduce garbage and make more environmentally conscious decisions as well as develop new waste habits.

Mayor Bevilacqua to present Jean Augustine with Key to the City during online event
The community is invited to join the City of Vaughan on Sunday, Oct. 25 to celebrate the Hon. Jean Augustine’s lifelong commitment to public service. An online event at 2 p.m. will include the official presentation of the Key to the City to Ms. Augustine as well as commemorate the naming of the Jean Augustine Complex and the Jean Augustine District Park. Pumpkins and cornstalks and leaves, oh my!
Fall weather brings beautiful autumn colours to trees across Vaughan with leaves changing to shades of red, orange and yellow. But what’s not so exciting is all the foliage that needs to be raked up. The City of Vaughan is reminding citizens that weekly fall leaf and yard waste will begin the week of Oct. 20 until Dec. 11. Pumpkins, straw and cornstalks are to be placed out with yard waste.
