Post-storm cleanup work continues in Vaughan
The storm from last weekend left many fallen trees on roads, sidewalks and boulevards – City of Vaughan staff have quickly mobilized cleanup efforts, working extended hours and prioritizing emergencies. Approximately 580 reports of storm-damaged trees were called into Access Vaughan since May 21, and, with this number continuing to increase additional crews and contractors have been deployed with more expected to be added as they become available.

Honouring Vaughan CARES’ contributions to North Maple Regional Park
Celebrating historic achievements! On Friday, June 10, the City of Vaughan invites the community to North Maple Regional Park (NMRP) for a special event in honour of Vaughan CARES (officially known as the Vaughan Committee of Associations to Restore Environmental Safety). This group was instrumental in the official closure of the Keele Valley Landfill, which paved the way for the creation of NMRP.

Do you have plans for your kids for the upcoming P.A. Day on Thursday, June 2? If not, you’re in luck! The City of Vaughan is offering programming for kids ages six to 12 years old from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Al Palladini and Vellore Village community centres.

Staying on your ‘waste’ schedule
With the hustle and bustle of going to work, school and other commitments, you may be placing your waste items at the curb too early before your scheduled collection day. The City of Vaughan is reminding everyone that waste should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before collection and no later than 7 a.m. the day of collection.
