What is the goal of this committee?
The mandate of the Tourism Vaughan Advisory Committee is to provide the Tourism Vaughan Corporation Board of Directors with guidance and expertise related to the development and implementation of the Vaughan Destination Master Plan and subsequent business plans in accordance with the Terms of Reference. How many positions are available?
The Tourism Vaughan Corporation is seeking up to 12 representatives to join the committee. Members should represent tourism stakeholder organizations from a range of sectors, including, but not limited to:
Representative(s) of Hotel/Motel Accommodations
Representative(s) of Short-term Rental Accommodations
Representative(s) of Meetings and Conferences
Representative(s) of Attractions and Retail
Representative(s) of Festivals and Events
Representative(s) of Food and Beverage
Non-governmental Industry Support Organizations
What are the eligibility requirements to join?
To be eligible for appointment on Vaughan’s Accessibility Advisory Committee, applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen and must not be employed by the municipality.
When are committee meetings held?
Meetings will be held quarterly (with the exception of July and August). Meetings will be held virtually until further notice due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Complete “Attachment 1” of the
Tourism Vaughan Advisory Committee application form
(PDF) and submit it via email to the Office of the City Clerk at
clerks@vaughan.ca
. Applications will be accepted until Friday, Nov. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
