The City of Vaughan 2018-2022 Term of Council task forces aim to address specific matters of importance to the public, such as key policies and city-building. To do this, the City established specific task forces to address these topics. The current task forces are:
Each task force’s mandate has been established by a terms of reference and includes two Members of Council – one as chair and one as vice-chair. Staff from the City, members of the public and technical experts are also part of each group.
Public representation in these groups come from a cross-section of citizens, businesses, stakeholders and sector/industry experts. Each task force conducts work over an 18-month duration and provide a full report of findings and recommendations to a committee at the completion of the task force’s directive.
