Older Adult Task Force

The City of Vaughan Older Adult Task Force has an overall mandate to make recommendations on the implementation of action items related to the City of Vaughan’s Older Adult Strategy, including exploring opportunities to move towards an age-friendly community and the promotion of healthy seniors.

The goal of an age-friendly community is to ensure policies, services and built infrastructure (e.g. available housing, walkable and accessible public areas, local social services and programs) are designed to help seniors age actively, age in place, live safely, be engaged and enjoy good health.

The task force is made up of Members of Council as well as City staff and members of the public.

If you are interested in joining Older Adult Task Force, fill out the application package (PDF) and email to clerks@vaughan.ca by Friday, Feb. 19 at 4:30 p.m.
