Woodbridge Library - New Entrance Addition

Public libraries play an integral role in the overall well-being of the community, serving not only as sources of information but also providing a space for education and conversation.

The current Woodbridge Library facility (150 Woodbridge Ave.) was constructed in 1981 and has a long history of serving as a community hub to residents.

The City of Vaughan will be making improvements to the library, which include:

  • adding additional space in the entrance, mezzanine and lower level.
  • more windows to allow for increased natural light.
  • facility upgrades to meet accessibility standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
  • new flooring.
  • and much more!

Through these renovations, the Woodbridge Library will become a more welcoming and vibrant space for the Vaughan community.

To safely complete the work, the library will be closed until late 2024. During this time, you can visit the following nearby Vaughan Public Libraries locations:

  • Ansley Grove Library (350 Ansley Grove Rd.)
  • Pierre Berton Resource Library (4921 Rutherford Rd.)
  • VMC Library (200 Apple Mill Rd.)

VPL programming and a new self-serve book vending machine offering more than 200 books will also be available at the Father E. Bulfon Community Centre (8141 Martin Grove Rd.). Have questions about the project? Read the answers to your frequently asked questions.
