There are currently three types of parking permits available for City of Vaughan residents:
Construction Parking Permits
Residents can request permission to park on the street when undertaking construction/renovation work on private property. Permits are issued at no cost to a maximum of nine days once per calendar year.
Please note: Permits are not transferable between license plate numbers. Non-used permit dates cannot be cancelled and reissued at a later time if the dates have already passed.
Applications are available in person from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday or online.
Monthly Parking Permits
Currently, there are 5 streets that offer monthly parking permits. Permits are available to park on Sharer Drive, Whitmore Drive, Cidermill Avenue and Woodstream Boulevard from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Napa Valley Avenue from 2:00 am to 6:00 am in designated areas only. Permits are available for purchase in person Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm at a cost of $50 plus HST one week prior to the start of the next month. Please note, however, that permits purchased once the month has started are not prorated and are non-refundable but are interchangeable as they are not issued to a particular vehicle/license plate number.
Visitor Overnight Parking Permits
Visitors are able to request permission to park on City of Vaughan streets overnight at no cost. Permits can be issued in person with the license plate number of the visitor during normal business hours or online. Visitors are entitled to five permits per license plate number per month. Permits for onstreet parking are not available for residents. Resident vehicles found to be parked with a visitor's permit on their vehicle will be issued a penalty notice (ticket) and may be towed at the owner's expense.
