Registering a New Account

  1. To register a new account, click the Register button.


  1. Click the Get Started button to begin.
 
  1. To identify yourself in the future, type a desired Username into this text box.
  2. Your email address is required to complete the registration. The site will send you a confirmation email after you've registered to make sure this email is yours.
  3. Please enter your Postal Code so we can serve you better. It is not required.
  4. Enter a password to access your account.
    • Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and must include one number and a special character (!, @, #, $, %, &, etc.)
  5. Please re-enter your password to confirm. This password must match the previous one.
  6. Captions Choose a security question you can answer if you forget your password.
  7. Type the answer to your security question.
  8. Enter the letters and numbers displayed in the security check
    • You can also choose to get a new set of characters
    • You can press the speaker symbol to hear the letters and numbers
  9. If you agree to the terms and conditions for use of the website, check off this box. It is required to complete the registration.
  10. Click the Submit button to complete reigstration.

Logging out of your Account

  1. While logged in, you can log out of your account by clicking the Logout button
 
 

Logging into your Account



  1. From anywhere on the website, you can log into your account by clicking the Login button at the top right corner.
 
 
 
  1. Type in your Username.
  2. Type in your Password.
  3. Click the Login button to log into your account.
 
 

Changing your Password

 
  1. While logged in, click the Profile button.
 
 
  1. Click the MyLoginInfo link.
 
 
  1. Answer the security question that was set when you registered your account.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter a password to access your account.
    • Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and must include one number and a special character (!, @, #, $, %, &, etc.)
  4. Please re-enter your password to confirm. This password must match the password entered above.
  5. Click the Save Changes button to finish.

  1. Enter the username you registered your account with. The website will send you an email letting you know what your temporary password is.

  3. Click the Submit button.
 
 
  1. Answer the security question you set when you registered. The answer must be exactly what was entered.
  2. Click the Submit button.
 
 
  1. Enter your Username.
  2. Copy the temporary password from the email and paste it in the password field.
  3. Click the Login button.
 
 
  1. Click the Profile button in the top right corner.
 
 
  1. Click the MyLoginInfo link.
 
 
  1. Answer the security question that was set when you registered your account.
  2. You can paste the temporary password into the old password field.
  3. Enter a password to access your account.
    • Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and must include one number and a special character (!, @, #, $, %, &, etc.)
  4. Please re-enter your password to confirm. This password must match the password entered above.
  5. Click the Save Changes button to finish.
 
 

Adding and Changing your Personal Information

 
  1. Click the Profile button in the top right corner.
 
 
  1. Click the MyPersonalInfo link from the left side bar.
 
 
  1. After filling out the form, click the submit button.
 
 

Changing the web experience on Vaughan.ca

 
  1. Click the Profile button in the top right corner.
 
 
  1. Check the I want to use the classic view page (Accessible) radio button.
  2. Click the Set Homepage button.
 
 

Customizing the QuickMenu

 
  1. Click the Profile button in the top right corner.
 
 
  1. Create a new category by typing in a name under Create new category.
  2. Click the Save button.
 
  1. Click the MyTilePicking link from the left side menu to customize the contents of your QuickMenu.
 
 
  1. Click and drag desired Tiles into the Selected Tiles box.
  2. Click the Save and Sort Tiles link when you're finished.
 
 
  1. Here you can click and drag Tiles to sort them. Click Save Changes when you're finished.
 
 

Sign up for Email Alerts

 
  1. Click the Profile button in the top right corner. 

 



  1. Click on MyAlerts from the side menu to choose from a list of alerts which you can select.
 
 
  1. Select from the list of alerts and click Save Changes.
